The "Location Gateway Unit (LGU)" is the primary software interface of the radar sensor, through which all measurement data and associated system information are output.​

Up to 255 individual locations can be transmitted per measurement cycle. Each location represents a detected point within the sensor's detection range and is enriched with a set of specific metadata to allow for detailed interpretation of the measurement.​

Each location is transmitted as a separate data object and contains the following exemplary metadata (see table).​

In addition to the locations, the LGU continuously transmits other important status and system signals.​
